At that very moment, Davido was overwhelmed by his interest in the music industry. He shared with another international student, a Rwandan track athlete, a room in a dormitory. He remembers how surprised he was in his room to see an African. The singer got very close to the guy who was living upstairs, too. Jaymo, the neighbor upstairs, was American and was very noisy.
By March 2011, the artist was doing music as a hobby. He was a member of a group in the USA called “KB international.” But the group didn’t work out as much as it would have pleased Davido, so he decided to go on his own. He felt at that moment that it is happiness to do what you love and also make your own money. So he began recording songs.
He’s spent all his time recording songs and searching for good beats since meeting his new friends at university. In hopes of getting into the music industry, he sent all his recordings to his cousin in Lagos.
