Although Eric Bellinger, a current R&B singer, and composer, obtained his first recording deal as a performer, he made the most progress in the early phases of his career as a songwriter. Bellinger is primarily recognized for his song “Stay,” which he composed and performed. Beginning in 2009, he collaborated on the creation of a large number of songs with several prominent artists, including Chris Brown, Brandy, and Justin Bieber. After the release of his debut studio album, The Rebirth, in 2014, he rapidly followed it up with two extended plays (EPs) and the first book in his Cuffing Season trilogy. In 2018, he unveiled his third studio album, named Eazy Call.

Titled after one of his songs, it was his first album to chart on the Billboard 200. The Rebirth 2, a double album that was issued in 2019, was the origin of the smash song “Type a Way,” which contained contributions from both Chris Brown and OG Parker. OG Parker and Brown did production on the song. Beginning the next decade with a flurry of activity, he released New Light (2021), a solo album, and a collaborative effort with Hitmaka the following year. Both albums were issued under his own name. Bellinger grew raised in Compton, California, and went on to obtain a scholarship to play football at the University of Southern California Trojans while simultaneously attending school there. And Bellinger is a Trojan.

He was a standout at running back for the school’s football team throughout his high school years. It was around the same time that he was approached by the Epic label with a contract offer. When Bellinger decided to go into the music industry, he was more successful as a composer than a vocalist. He collaborated with other songwriters on hundreds of songs that were produced for well-known artists between 2009 and 2013. Among these are “Without You” by Brandy, “Right Here” by Justin Bieber, and two songs from Chris Brown’s Grammy-nominated album F.A.M.E. Two of his most notable collaborations are with Usher and Brown, who both achieved success with their respective singles “Fine China” and “Lemme See,” respectively.

Both singles were successful enough to crack the top ten on the R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart. Bellinger released solo material like the three-part mixtape series Born II Sing and the album In the Meantime while he waited for the group to reunite. Each of these albums was released in the void between volumes in a mixtape series. The ReBirth, his 2014 album, included longtime collaborator Sevyn Streeter as well as frequent collaborators Kid Ink and Sage the Gemini. I Don’t Want Her” (featuring Problem) and “9 Lives” (featuring Too Short and Ty Dolla $ign) are just two of the many singles recorded by the artist.

The artist released both of these singles. I Don’t Want Her sampled some music by Kriss Kross and Ohio Players. Prior to the announcement that Cuffing Season would be released in 2015, Eric Bellinger released a teaser mixtape titled Choose Up Season. The mixtape was made to promote Bellinger’s upcoming sophomore album. A few months later, the entirety of the latter author’s second book was published. Bellinger returned to the theater in 2016 with Eric B for President: Term 1, an extended play.

The majority of the music in this production was performed live, acoustically. The similarly titled follow-up album from the beginning of 2017 contains a wider range of musical styles. His third studio album, named Eazy Call, came out the following year. The following year saw the publication of this album. He made up the album’s name, “It’s Eazy,” on the spot. The studio album Poncho Belly & Dizzle, a collaboration between Bellinger and the rapper A.D., was released in September of 2018. Their collaborative efforts resulted in this album.

Ending 2018 with the holiday single “Kisses on Christmas,” he returned in early 2019 with the double album The Rebirth 2, which featured the smash hit “Type a Way” and featured appearances from Chris Brown and OG Parker. The third season debut of Cuffing occurred in early November, just two months after the release of the year’s second full-length film, Saved by the Bellinger, in September. Shorter works, such as the third EP in the Eric B for President series, and collaborative efforts, such as Scenarios with Chase N. Cashe and Optimal Music with Nieman J. Bellinger, were the main focus of 2020’s publishing. In addition, new music production was prioritized in 2020.

A joint effort between him and Hitmaka, named 1-800-HIT-EAZY, was released to start the year 2021. After that, in September, he dropped his debut album under his own name, titled New Light. The album featured Brandy, Teedra Moses, and Kierra Sheard, among others, and was nominated for a Grammy. It was inevitable that Eric Bellinger, a singer, and composer who was born and bred in Los Angeles, would go on to achieve great success.

Bellinger’s grandfather, Bobby Day, wrote the lyrics to many of the Jackson 5’s hits, thus singing was something he was exposed to at an early age. Bellinger’s granddad was the lyricist behind several of the Jackson 5’s hits. The moment had come for Eric, the high school football team captain, to decide whether he would accept a scholarship to play football at the illustrious University of Southern California (USC) or pursue his true love, music. Bellinger joined the R&B trio AKNU shortly after making the tough decision to forego a chance to study at the University of Southern California.

Max Gousse and Tommy Motola, two of the most successful executives in the music industry, hurried to sign him to Epic Records as soon as they heard his music. After completing a string of successful recording and performance endeavors with AKNU, Eric returned to his hometown to focus on new music. He recognized songwriting to be a passion of his when he was there, and he dedicated most of his time to it. An early influence on the extraordinarily gifted singer and rapper’s instinctive ability to identify melody and rhythm was his childhood buddy and instructor at The Writing Camp, Erika Nuri. The Writing Camp employed Erika Nuri as a tutor. As a result of working with her, he was able to develop this skill.

Bellinger was just a short distance from his own home when his trip began, but it felt like he had been whisked away to a foreign world. Eric spent his formative years in Compton, California, where he found release in music and football. Bobby Day, Eric’s grandfather, wrote hit songs for the Jackson 5 and was a member of the group. Since Bellinger was more interested in music than sports, he followed in his parents’ footsteps by seeking a career in performing rather than an athletic scholarship. Not long after his public speaking debut, Eric’s writing abilities also became immediately apparent.

Since then, their working relationship has only gotten stronger because to the fact that he won a Grammy for his work on several songs featured on Chris Brown’s album F.A.M.E. Eric’s songs have been sought out by a broad variety of performers, including Usher, Justin Bieber, and Brandy, to mention a few. To the contrary, Eric Bellinger had other plans for his career than to be a footnote.

Release of “I Don’t Want Her” in 2014 catapulted him into the public consciousness. Eric has a global fan following because to his work with G-Funk, who peaked at number 22 on the digital singles charts. Spending almost a decade in the employ of major record labels, Eric ultimately decided that ownership and creative freedom were more important to him.

Together with his close buddy Nieman Johnson, he founded the YFS record label (Your Favorite Song). Eric says the band has been on a “trial-and-error mission from God” to pave the path for alternative R&B. With this initiative, we hoped to streamline the distribution of songs by unsigned R&B musicians. We did things in a way that nobody other has ever done before, the speaker proclaimed. Success at the highest level of competition for EMPIRE’s independently produced game shows that the risk was well worth it. Both “Drive By” and “GOAT,” which were included on Eric B.’s album, went on to be certified gold. In 2016, a political album titled “For President” was released.

Eric Bellinger has spent the past five years constantly striving to better himself and never lowering his goals. New Light’s confirmation of its dominant role Throughout the course of the opening melody “Shine On The World,” Eric gives a self-motivating monologue to himself with the purpose of busting ceilings. The lyrics of the song can be applied to more than just romantic relationships; when he sings, “You are one of one; if it was us versus the world, I know that we’d stand a chance,” he is referring to the business world. I’ve never questioned my worthiness of anything.
