Fleetwood Mac Phone number

Fleetwood Mac, a British blues band that evolved into the hugely popular Anglo-American pop-rock group whose 1977 album Rumours went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time. Mick Fleetwood (born June 24, 1947, Redruth, Cornwall, England), John McVie (born November 26, 1945, London, England), Peter Green (original name Peter Greenbaum; b. October 29, 1946, London—d. July 25, 2020, Canvey Island, Sussex), and Jeremy Spencer were the original members (b. July 4, 1948, West Hartlepool, Durham, England).

Danny Kirwan (b. May 13, 1950, London—d. June 8, 2018, London), Christine McVie (original name Christine Perfect; b. July 12, 1943, Birmingham, West Midlands, England), Bob Welch (b. August 31, 1945, Los Angeles, California, U.S.—d. June 7, 2012, Nashville, Tennessee), Stevie Nicks (b. May 26, 1948, Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.), and Lindsey Buckingham were later members (b. October 3, 1947, Palo Alto, California).

Fleetwood Mac’s debut album, ‘Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac,’ was released on the Blue Horizon label in 1968. It was a blues collection that charted at number four in the United Kingdom but had no singles. ‘Black Magic Woman’ and ‘Need Your Love So Bad’ were their first charting singles.

They released their second album, ‘Mr. Wonderful,’ in 1968, with Christine Perfect on keyboards. Later, they added guitarist Danny Kirwan to their lineup and released the UK number one single ‘Albatross’ as well as the album ‘English Rose.’ When they moved to Immediate Records in 1969, they made their final blues recordings.

They released ‘Man of the World’ on their new label, and it peaked at number two in the UK. When their manager Clifford Davis chose to sign them with Warner Bros.’ Reprise Records, their first album was the rock-infused ‘Then Play On.’ Peter Green was addicted to drugs and left the band in 1970 after a disagreement with the others when they refused to donate all of their money to charity at his suggestion.

They released ‘Kiln House’ in 1970, to which McVie’s wife Christine Perfect contributed and was soon asked to join. Spencer vanished unexpectedly during a tour in 1971, and the rest of the band later discovered that he had joined a cult known as the Children of God. They persuaded Green to return and assist with the tour’s completion. His return, however, was not permanent, and they soon hired Bob Welch as a guitarist on the recommendation of a friend. They released the vastly different ‘Future Games’ and the subsequent 1972 album ‘Bare Trees’ with Welch.

Kirwan was then fired due to his alcoholism, which caused him to be difficult at live shows, refusing to go on stage and criticise his bandmates at one point. Following that, the lineup was frequently changed. They hired guitarist Bob Weston and vocalist Dave Walker, but Walker was fired after their ‘Penguin’ album tour in 1973, and Weston was fired for an affair with Fleetwood’s wife. Clifford Davis made rock history when he claimed ownership of the Fleetwood Mac name and formed a phoney Fleetwood Mac band with members who had never been in the real band. People were told that Welch and McVie had left and that Fleetwood and Christine would be joining them soon.

The band fought with their Warner Bros. label, attempting to persuade them of the true Fleetwood Mac lineup. They then made the decision to manage themselves. ‘Heroes Are Hard to Find’ was released in 1974, but Welch left shortly after the tour. Lindsey Buckingham took Welch’s place, and his girlfriend Stephanie Nicks joined the band as well.

Their first album with the band was the self-titled release in 1975, which peaked at number one in the United States and sold 5 million copies. John and Christine McVie, Buckingham and Nicks, and Mick Fleetwood and his wife Jenny all split up in 1976. However, in 1977, they released ‘Rumours,’ which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year. After 1982’s ‘Mirage’ album, the band went on hiatus, during which many members pursued solo projects, Fleetwood declared bankruptcy, and Nicks sought therapy for drug and alcohol addiction issues.

Lindsey Buckingham left in 1987, and guitarists Billy Burnette and Rick Vito were brought in to replace him. The new lineup’s first single, ‘Behind the Mask,’ went to number one in the United Kingdom.  In 1997, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, and Stevie Nicks reunited and released the live album ‘The Dance.’ Fleetwood Mac was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received a BRIT award in 1998.

Christine McVie, on the other hand, left permanently that year. Sheryl Crow was rumoured to be joining the band in 2008, but this was later denied. In 2009, they embarked on their first non-album world tour, which grossed $71.2 million. In 2009, a one-hour documentary titled ‘Fleetwood Mac: Don’t Stop’ aired on BBC One in the United Kingdom, featuring interviews with current band members. Stevie Nicks announced another tour and a new album for 2012 in 2011, but Mick Fleetwood expressed doubts due to Nicks and Buckingham’s solo work in 2012.

Nicks, on the other hand, confirmed that they would tour again in 2013. There has been a lot of tragedy surrounding the band since their last tour. Former bassist Bob Brunning passed away in 2011, and former guitarist Bob Weston died in 2012. Bob Welch, a former singer and guitarist, was found dead in 2012 after shooting himself.

Fleetwood Mac Biography/Wiki

The Blue Horizon label issued Fleetwood Mac’s debut album, ‘Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac,’ in 1968. It was a blues collection that peaked at #4 in the UK but produced no singles. Their first charting songs were ‘Black Magic Woman’ and ‘Need Your Love So Bad.’

In 1968, they published their second album, ‘Mr. Wonderful,’ with keyboardist Christine Perfect. Later in the band’s history, they added guitarist Danny Kirwan and released the UK number one song ‘Albatross’ as well as the album ‘English Rose.’ They made their final blues records in 1969, when they signed with Immediate Records.

On their new label, they released ‘Man of the World,’ which peaked at number two in the UK. When their manager Clifford Davis picked Warner Bros.’ Reprise Records to sign them, their debut album was the rock-infused ‘Then Play On.’ Peter Green struggled with drug addiction and quit the band in 1970 following a quarrel with the other members over their refusal to donate all of their money to charity as he suggested.

They released ‘Kiln House’ in 1970, to which Christine Perfect, McVie’s wife, contributed and was quickly invited to join. Spencer departed unexpectedly during a 1971 tour, and the rest of the band later discovered that he had joined the Children of God cult. They convinced Green to return and aid in completing the tour. His comeback, however, was temporary, and they quickly engaged Bob Welch as a guitarist on a friend’s advice. They collaborated with Welch on the significantly dissimilar ‘Future Games’ and subsequent 1972 album ‘Bare Trees’.

Kirwan was eventually sacked owing to his drunkenness, which made him difficult to work with during live performances, including refusing to go on stage and criticising his bandmates at one time. Subsequently, the lineup was regularly altered. They hired guitarist Bob Weston and vocalist Dave Walker, but Walker was let go following the release of their ‘Penguin’ album in 1973, and Weston was let go following an affair with Fleetwood’s wife. Clifford Davis created rock history by claiming ownership of the Fleetwood Mac name and forming a phoney Fleetwood Mac band comprised of individuals who had never played in the genuine band. The public was informed that Welch and McVie had departed and that Fleetwood and Christine would shortly join them.

The band engaged in a battle with their label, Warner Bros., striving to convince them of the genuine Fleetwood Mac lineup. They then chose to manage themselves. Although ‘Heroes Are Hard to Find’ was released in 1974, Welch quit shortly after the tour concluded. Lindsey Buckingham took Welch’s position in the band, as did his girlfriend Stephanie Nicks.

Their self-titled debut album with the band was released in 1975 and reached at number one in the United States, selling 5 million copies. John and Christine McVie divorced in 1976, as did Buckingham and Nicks and Mick Fleetwood and his wife Jenny. However, they released ‘Rumours’ in 1977, earning them a Grammy Award nomination for Album of the Year. Following 1982’s ‘Mirage’ album, the band had a break during which some members pursued solo endeavours, Fleetwood declared bankruptcy, and Nicks sought treatment for drug and alcohol addiction concerns.

Lindsey Buckingham quit the band in 1987, and was replaced by guitarists Billy Burnette and Rick Vito. The first single from the new lineup, ‘Behind the Mask,’ debuted at number one in the United Kingdom. Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, and Stevie Nicks reunited in 1997 and recorded ‘The Dance,’ a live CD. Fleetwood Mac were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 and were presented with a BRIT award.

On the other hand, Christine McVie departed permanently that year. In 2008, Sheryl Crow was rumoured to join the band, but this was later refuted. They completed their first non-album global tour in 2009, grossing $71.2 million. In 2009, the United Kingdom’s BBC One broadcasted a one-hour documentary titled ‘Fleetwood Mac: Don’t Stop’ containing interviews with current band members. Stevie Nicks announced another tour and a new album for 2012 in 2011, however Mick Fleetwood expressed reservations about the tour and album owing to Nicks and Buckingham’s individual activity in 2012.

Nicks, on the other hand, confirmed the band’s 2013 tour. Since the band’s last tour, there has been a great deal of tragedy. Bob Brunning, the former bassist, died in 2011, and Bob Weston, the former guitarist, died in 2012. Bob Welch, a former singer and guitarist, was discovered dead in 2012 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
