Kelcy Lee Warren (born November 9, 1955) is the chairman and chief executive officer of Energy Transfer Partners, an American investment firm.
He began his job as a gas station attendant for Lone Star Gas Company. Endevco was his company from 1981 to 1992. From 1989 to 1990, he was executive vice president of Cornerstone Natural Gas, and between 1993 and 1996, he was president and CEO. Since 2007, he has served as the company’s co-chairman and co-CEO. He’s also a member of ETP Enogex Partners LLC’s management council, co-CEO of ETC OLP, co-CEO and co-chairman of La Grange Energy, and co-CEO and co-chairman of US Propane LLC. He served as the co-chairman of Le Gp, OEC Compression, in the past.
He was a director of Crosstex Energy from 1996 to 2000.His alma institution, the University of Texas at Arlington, has him on their Advisory Board.As a real estate venture in 2007, he purchased the insolvent Lajitas Resorts in Lajitas, TexasWarren is the President and Chairman of the Board of the Roatan Electric Company (RECO), which he bought in 2008.RECO made a $7 million investment in a wind farm that was supposed to be finished in 2017.
Energy Transfer Partners is led by Warren, who is also its CEO and chairman. Warren also chairs Energy Transfer Equity’s general partner. Warren co-founded the organisations that acquired and operated the midstream natural gas pipes that were contributed in the transaction prior to the merger of ETP and Heritage Propane’s activities in 2004.
Warren married Sherry Johnson, the former Sherry Johnson, in Dallas on May 18, 1980, and the couple divorced in 1991. On June 3, 2010 in Dallas, he married Amy Hudson. Klyde Warren is his only son.
