American actress, writer, director, and producer Lena Dunham was born on May 13, 1986, in New York City, New York, United States. She is best known for her work on the television series Girls (2012–17), in which she is most prominently recognized for furthering a feminist viewpoint tinted by the experiences of the millennial generation.
