Mahant’s birthday is March 20, and he was born in the hamlet of Bhumbotad.
As a Baba Lal Dayal Darbar resident in Datarpur, he was given the knowledge necessary for initiating new members. On April 10, 1957, Mahant Ram Prakash Das was entrusted with governing Baba Lal Dayal Darbar, Rampur Haled, and Datarpur. Throughout 54 years, he was responsible for rekindling Datarpur and Rampur Haled Darbar and constructing Lal Darbar Ashram at Haridwar and Kankhal. After his victory in the 1967 independent election for the Dasuha assembly seat, Mahant Ram Prakash was appointed Minister of the Food Supplies Department in the cabinet of the Chief Minister of the state at the time, Laxman Singh Gill.
On the grounds of Baba Lal Dayal Darbar, he constructed buildings for the Central Cooperative Bank, the Central Bank of India, the Post Office, and the Telephone Company. In the city of Datarpur, he founded the Baba Lal Dayal Ladies College. Today, on the eighth anniversary of Brahmalin Mahant Ram Prakash Das ji’s passing, a religious ceremony will occur at the Samadhi Sthal Darbar in Rampur Haled, where he is laid to rest.
Mahant Ram Prakash Das traveled to 52 countries to spread Sanatan Dharma and the Hindu culture. Throughout his lifetime, he was the one who started things off for millions of individuals. He donated five acres of land to establish an Ayurveda medical center. Construction occurred on the water supply network in Datarpur, Sanskrit College, Girls College, and four high schools. Poor children received gifts of books and uniforms from him each year that were valued at a total of two lakh rupees.
In the town of Datarpur, he constructed several local conveniences, such as two bank buildings, a telephone center, and a post office, among other establishments. In addition, he provided significant assistance to those affected by earthquakes, tsunamis, and other natural disasters. He gave it his all to further the cause of the national languages Sanskrit and Hindi.
On November 4, 2010, he passed away at Forties Hospital in Mohali due to the severe injuries he sustained in an accident. On his 85th birth anniversary, which will occur on March 20, hundreds of devotees will gather at Baba Lal Dayal Ashram in Datarpur to prostrate themselves and pay respect to him at a program that will be presided over by Mahant 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Ramesh Das.
