Simone Biles is an American artistic gymnast famous for her solo gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. She’s an artistic gymnast and usually excels in gymnastics, the entire floor, and vault. For all three years, Simone Biles has become a world champion. She was the most famous American gymnast, winning over 19 Olympic and World Championship medals. She has a record for one single Olympic Games for the most gold medals an American woman has earned. She is only the sixth woman in all rounds, winning the Olympic Medal and the World Championship Medal. She is recognized for her “Dance with the Stars” appearance. She now lives in Spring, Texas, USA.
Simone was born in Shanon Biles, Columbus, Ohio, on 14 March 1997. Kelvin Clemons was Simone’s father. However, he never was part of her life, struggling with addictive difficulties and leaving his family. The mother of Simone, Shanon, was also the victim of addiction to drugs and alcohol. She also did not play a major role in raising her children.
Simone is three of the four siblings; Ashley, Tevin, and Adria are the others. Adria Biles is a gymnast, too. Her grandfather, Ron Biles, and his wife, Nellie Cayetano Biles, raised Simone. Ron is a former controller of air traffic. Nellie is a nurse and a former co-owner of a US-based caregiving franchise.
Simone started her career as a gymnast when she first tested gymnastics with her daycare colleagues at the age of 6. She amazed her teachers and afterward urged that she continue with gymnastics. Soon she chose Bannon’s Gymnastic training course and started her official training with her coach Aimee Boorman. She was just eight then.
She began her official career in the 2011 American Classic in Houston. She was placed 3rd all around and was excellent in the vault and balance beam at the first spot. She participated in the USA Classic in Chicago, Illinois, later that year, where she was twentieth round. Her achievement prompted her in 2012 to focus more on her career in gymnastics. To do this, she left public school and began home school, enabling her to practice almost 2 additional hours per day.
She was first placed all around in the 2012 American Classic at Huntsville, Texas, and excelled once again in the vault. She was first placed at the US Classic in Chicago, which also opened the route for the National Championship entry. She was 3rd in the 2012 national championship, bagging 1st in the vault again. The selection was relatively easy for the Junior National Team. After withdrawing from the 2013 American Cup due to injuries, her senior international debut together with teammate Katelyn Ohashi was to replace Elizabeth Price and Kyla Ross.
It won the 1st award at the 2013 Jesolo Trophy City in Jesolo, Italy. She won the all-around championship title in the 2013 National Championships ahead of Kyla Ross, her former medallist. In all four events, she also won the silver. This gave her a position in the National Senior Team and World Championship Team. She won the All-Round Women’s Championship at the Belgian Artistic Gymnastics World Championship. After missing a few contests at the beginning of the year due to a shoulder injury she duplicated her performance by taking her gold in the 2014 National Gymnastics Championship.
At the 2014 World Artistry Gymnastic Championship in Nanning, China, she successfully defended her World Championship title. She was first placed with a score of 62,2999 at the 2015 AT & T American Cup, with 4,467 points above the silver medalist. In the same month, she also won the 2015 Jesolo City Trophy.
She declared on 29 July 2015, that she will become a pro and join Octagon. She won her 3rd national title all-around and was only the 2nd woman to do so. After winning the 2015 Artistic Gymnastics Championship, she became the first woman to win three straight World Championship titles. On 11 November 2015, Nike became her sponsor for multi-national sports gear. In 2016, she was the winner of the Pacific Rim and the National Championships with a large margin in the overall title. She was declared in the Olympics squad on 10 July.
She earned her first gold medal at the team event at the 2016 Olympic Games on August 9. She later won the whole gold on the 11th of August. In the women’s vault, she won her second gold with a score of 15,966. In the floor event, she had the same score and also secured gold in it. She also grasped a balance beam of bronze.
