Timothy Hill is an American professional baseball pitcher who now plays for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on February 10, 1990, in the United States. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the Kansas City Royals. Hill received his high school education at the Granada Hills Charter High School in Los Angeles, California. Hill went straight from high school to his freshman year at Palomar College since the draft passed over him.
After that, he registered at Bacone College. During the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, Hill was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 32nd round. He concluded the 2018 season with a 1–4 and a 4.53 earned run average during 45+2/3 innings pitched. On July 16, 2020, Hill was included in a deal that sent Franchy Cordero and Ronald Bolaos to the San Diego Padres in exchange for Hill. Again, the ERA doesn’t stick out, and it doesn’t truly represent how terrific of a year he had. This is a problem. Hill didn’t allow a run in fewer than 15% of the games he played throughout the regular season, and he had a stretch of 23 games from July 2 to September 6 in which he didn’t give a single earned run. Throughout his career in the major leagues, it is not surprising that he has been more successful against left-handed batters, as he has limited them to an OPS of.524. He is anticipated to play center field for the Royals, partnering with either Brett Phillips or Bubba Starling, depending on the game situation.
