George Clarke

George Clarke’s date of birth is recorded as May 27, 1974, in Sunderland. Property Dreams, A Dream Home Abroad, and Build A New Life In The Country were just a few of George Clarke’s series that he hosted as Channel Five’s resident architect and property expert until 2008.

The Channel Five series was accompanied with a book called Build a New Life, written by George Clarke, that offered guidance on how to turn your house into your dream home. Channel 4 hired George Clarke in 2008 to host many real estate shows, including Restoration Man, in which he tours the United Kingdom assisting homeowners in the renovation of historic buildings.

George, now 47, was previously married to Catriona, but they divorced in 2013. According to reports, the couple’s marriage had already been on the rocks due to their hectic work commitments.

This is what George had to say at the time in a statement he issued: “We’ve been married for a while, but have finally chosen to divorce. Our divorce and separation from one another is amicable, and we each have custody of the children.” They had three children while they were married: Georgie, Emilio, and Iona. George occasionally posts photos of his children on Instagram. In a beautiful wedding held in Ibiza in the month of September of 2018, George wed his new bride Katie. Katie is a marketing and communications consultant for high-end fashion, and George and her lived in West London with his two kids.

Like George, Katie rarely posts images of her husband on social media, but she did write a touching note to her partner in March 2020, before the country fell into lockdown.

She posted a romantic black and white snapshot of herself and George holding hands and captioned it, “Love this man, it’s moments like these where you can step back and enjoy the things that perhaps we all too often take for granted.”

On the anniversary of their wedding last September, Katie wrote another heartfelt tribute to her husband in which she referred to George as her “best pal.”

The Sun reported in February 2022, however, that George and Katie had broken up. A insider told the publication that the couple had broken up, but that nobody knew why. George’s passion in architecture was inspired when, at age 16, he dropped out of school and began working for architects. He continued his education and is now an architect with credentials in building and construction.

If you’re looking for a dynamic speaker who shares your enthusiasm for architecture and is also a gifted host and presenter, go no further than George Clarke.

Independent film studio Yellow Fever Productions was established in Belfast, Northern Ireland, by George Clarke. In the film industry, he wears many hats, including writer, producer, director, action choreographer, director of photography, editor, and even actor. In 2008, he founded the Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival, and since then, his work has received widespread appreciation from experts in the field. George also oversees Yellow Fever Productions’ independent DVD label in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Yuen Woo Ping, Donnie Yen, and most of the other key players in Asian cinema have all had significant impacts on the film business. His favorite Western actors are a who’s who of comic legends like Charlie Chaplin, Gene Wilder, Steve Martin, and Mel Brooks.

George, a husband, and a father of two, works full-time as a cartoonist/illustrator and spends his free time at home writing and drawing a wide variety of children’s books and characters. The collection of more than three thousand DVDs attests to his passion for movies. Because of his proficiency in the Mori language and his competence as a farmer in Waimate, he grudgingly took the position of “Chief Protector of Aborigines” in May 1840, leading a small department of sub-protectors that included his two sons.

Protecting Maori rights and assuring them that their traditions would not be violated “save in circumstances that are antithetical to the values of humanity” were under their purview. However, the Governor also anticipated that the protectors would engage in sales negotiations for Maori land.

Though he did a good job, Clarke never won over the hearts and minds of the Pkeh because he was perceived as siding with the Maori too often and lacking the political savvy to take on formidable foes like the New Zealand Company. Clarke foresaw that Crown efforts to steal property from Maori would cause friction, and he advocated for a land register to prevent the sale of land whose ownership was in dispute.

He also served as a mediator in conflicts between Maori and settlers, as well as between different Maori tribes, with some success; nonetheless, he was not given sufficient means to adequately defend Maori interests. In 1846, he was deposed from government, and the Protectorate was dissolved by new Governor George Grey; he was also fired from the CMS for questionable land deals.

Years later, in the 1850s, Clarke won a seat on the provincial council of Auckland, New Zealand. In 1865, he was appointed to the bench of the Native Land Court, but he never served.

The film industry has been profoundly influenced by the likes of Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Yuen Woo Ping, Donnie Yen, and virtually every other major character in Asian filmmaking. Comedic greats like Charlie Chaplin, Gene Wilder, Steve Martin, and Mel Brooks are among his favorite Western actors.

George is a husband and father of two who works as a cartoonist/illustrator by day and creates original children’s stories and characters in his spare time. His devotion to film is evidenced by the over three thousand DVDs he has amassed. In May 1840, he grudgingly accepted the job of “Chief Protector of Aborigines,” overseeing a small department of sub-protectors that included his two sons, due to his knowledge of the Mori language and his success as a farmer in Waimate.

It was their responsibility to safeguard Maori rights and reassure them that their traditions would not be trampled upon “unless in conditions that are antagonistic to the values of humanity.” The Governor, however, was aware that the protectors would likely try to sell Maori land.

Clarke accomplished an admirable job, but he was never able to win over the Pkeh because they believed he was too cozy with the Maori and lacked the political savvy to take on powerful adversaries like the New Zealand Company. Clarke predicted that the Crown’s attempts to steal property from Maori would lead to conflict and he pushed for a land register to prevent the sale of land whose ownership was in question.

He also mediated problems between Maori and settlers and Maori tribes, with some success; but, he was not given enough resources to effectively defend Maori interests. New Governor George Grey removed him from office and disbanded the Protectorate in 1846; the CMS also dismissed him for suspicious land purchases.
