American film and stage actor Aaron Eckhart shot to fame in 2000 thanks to his performance in the critically and commercially successful film Erin Brockovich. The character of Nick Naylor in the film “Thank You for Smoking” brought him greater fame. It’s hard to think that he was once a starving actor who couldn’t find work and feed his family. He has a long history of critically acclaimed performances under his belt, and is now a well-known performer. He had been interested in acting since he was a young man, so he left college to take a job at the Warringah Mall movie theater.

Then, after some years had passed, he returned to school to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film. He tried for many years to launch a successful acting career, but despite his good looks and talent, he was never cast in a leading role. When he was cast as George in “Erin Brockovich,” it was the big break he needed to revive his sagging career. This fortunate turn of circumstances was the turning point in his life. As word of his striking good looks and great abilities spread, he was bombarded with film offers and soon became a well-known character actor in Hollywood. Recently, he played Jeff Skiles in the 2016 film Sully.

In the state of California on March 12th, 1968, was born Aaron Edward Eckhart. Aaron was born to Mary Martha (a children’s book author and poet) and James Conrad (a computer executive) Eckhart. His family is multicultural, with his parents and two older brothers from from different countries. When he was twelve years old, he was baptized and confirmed into the Latter-day Saint faith. His two-year LDS mission in France and Switzerland preceded his move to England.

While in England, Eckhart attended the American Community School. He caught the acting bug while he was there and hasn’t been able to shake it since. Participating in school performance was his first time acting. He left his old life behind in 1985 and started over in Sydney. To further fuel his desire to become an actor, he enrolled at the American International School of Sydney. He honed his acting chops by appearing in and contributing to the school’s theatrical productions. However, he was unmotivated in school and dropped out to pursue a job as an usher at the Warringah Mall cinema.

It didn’t take long for him to realize that increasing his professional credentials would be a smart move. In 1988, after moving back to the States, he enrolled at Brigham Young University-Hawaii with the purpose of studying film. His later studies led him to Brigham Young University (BYU), from which he graduated with a BFA in 1994. While he was in college, he took part in many productions on campus.

After finishing his degree, Aaron Eckhart moved to New York. At first, he struggled to land roles that would allow him to truly showcase his talents, so he settled for bit parts in a variety of TV shows and advertisements. To make ends meet, he worked as a bartender, bus driver, and construction worker, among other things.

A little break came Eckhart’s way in 1997 when writer/director Neil LaBute cast him in the film adaptation of his play “In the Company of Men.” Eckhart’s film career kicked off with this role.

Acting debut or not, Eckhart was praised for his portrayal as an irritated office worker. In 1998, he appeared in “Your Friends & Neighbors,” another of LaBute’s black comedies. As his character, he played a man who was sexually dissatisfied and unhappy in his marriage. Nick from ‘Thursday,’ which he also portrayed that same year, was one of his most prominent roles.

He portrayed George in the biopic “Erin Brockovich,” starring Julia Roberts, which received widespread acclaim from critics and audiences alike. He was able to acquire more lucrative offers after taking on this role. There followed a string of films in which he appeared over the next several years, beginning with 2001’s “The Pledge” and continuing with “Possession”, “The Missing”, and “Suspect Zero”. In 2004, he also appeared in “Oleanna,” a play by David Mamet, at London’s Garrick Theatre. He got a lot of applause for his performance in the stage presentation.

It was a very successful year for Aaron Eckhart in all aspects of his life. He played Nick Naylor in the comedy-drama film Thank You for Smoking, and Sgt. Lee Blanchard in the murder thriller picture The Black Dahlia. His performance in the former earned him nominations for the Golden Globe Award’s Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Film category. The superhero crime thriller “The Dark Knight,” starring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and Heath Ledger as “The Joker,” was released in 2008. This time around, Aaron Eckhart will be playing Harvey Dent.

Producer Christopher Nolan was so impressed with Aaron Eckhart’s ability to convincingly portray complex, nuanced characters like Harvey Dent that he specifically requested him for the role. He played Howie, a young father struggling to cope with his child’s death in the 2010 drama film “Rabbit Hole,” which also starred Nicole Kidman. To play this part, he appeared alongside Nicole Kidman. Positive reviews for the film were widespread. Kidman ultimately decided to cast Eckhart in the role of her husband in the film.

Aaron Eckhart starred in the 2011 film Battle: Los Angeles, a military science fiction battle epic. Jonathan Liebesman helmed the film. His character, USMC SSgt Michael Nantz, was a Marine Staff Sergeant who was due to retire but was called back into active duty to lead a platoon of Marines and an Air Force sergeant against an alien invasion of Earth. The 2013 film “Olympus Has Fallen,” the 2014 movie “I, Frankenstein,” and the 2015 feature “My All American” are all recent additions to his résumé.

He had a role in the 2016 film “Sully,” which was well-liked by both audiences and reviewers. The same year he also portrayed Kevin Rooney in “Bleed for This.” In his role as George in the Oscar-nominated picture Erin Brockovich, character actor Aaron Eckhart first came to the attention of the general audience. He played Nick Naylor, a lobbyist for the tobacco business, in the film “Thank You for Smoking,” and got a lot of praise for his work. He is well-known for playing villains, but in this part, he proved once again that he can also play complex characters.

The role of Chad in the 1997 film “In the Company of Men” won Aaron Eckhart two prizes. Two awards were given out: one for “Best Debut Performance” by the Independent Spirit Awards and another for “Outstanding New Talent” by the Satellite Awards. Because of his work in “Thank You for Smoking,” Eckhart was nominated for two acting awards: the Independent Spirit Award and the St. Louis Gateway Film Critics Association Award. In 2008, he won two prizes for his work in “The Dark Knight”: the Central Ohio Film Critics Association Award for Best Acting Ensemble and the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Cast.

In the same year, he was up for nominations for the Broadcast Picture Critics Association’s Best Cast Award, the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor, and the Scream Award for Best Villain for the same film. Aaron Eckhart prefers to keep his private life just that, private and is uncomfortable talking about it in public.

At one point in the middle of the 2000s, he dated Kristyn Osborn, a country music composer. Earlier, in the 1990s, he was engaged to the actress Emily Cline, but they never tied the knot despite being in a serious relationship. For over a year now, there has been no word about the upcoming action flick Rumble Through the Dark, despite the fact that filming concluded. But that’s about to change, as Deadline has just released some exclusive first-look photographs, so we can get a glimpse of what’s in store.

The main character, Jack Boucher (Aaron Eckhart), is based on Michael Farris Smith’s best-selling novel The Fighter. Boucher, a bare-knuckle cage fighter, is serious about using his winnings to clear out his family’s obligations. Jack’s fierce desperation is brought to life through scenes of him engaging in battles to the cheers of bystanders. He has a dollar sign tattooed on his bare chest, which may serve as a public reminder to himself and his rivals that he is always looking ahead to the next opportunity to cash in.
