Anthony Evans contact

Anthony Evans is a contemporary gospel recording artist who also draws inspiration from R&B, pop, and hip-hop. His work incorporates elements from a wide range of musical styles, and he is known for songs with a current feel and a message of faith. Evans’ early albums, including 2008’s The Bridge, featured his gospel-influenced vocals over pop and R&B tracks.

But with Home, his album released in 2011, Evans went back to his gospel music origins. In 2017, he published an album called Back to Life, which featured more experimental compositions and production techniques, making a better match between his vocal style and the spiritual concerns he portrays in his music.

Anthony Evans’ father, Dr. Tony Evans, is the founder and pastor of the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, and a well-known radio and television broadcaster. Anthony got his start in Christian music in 2001 as a backup vocalist for Kirk Franklin. Popular radio and TV personality Dr. Tony Evans.

Evans’s solo career began in 2004 with the release of Even More on the INO label via Epic after he had performed for some time with Franklin. Initial reviews were positive, and the album peaked at #17 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart. After the initial batch of albums, INO, Integrity, EMI Gospel, and Fair Trade all issued additional. Evans competed in the second season of the singing competition The Voice in the early months of 2012. In turn, this boosted his popularity and allowed him to reach a wider audience.

His covers of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” and Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” gained him a new following and encouraged him to experiment with secular music, even though he was eliminated after the sixth show. On top of that, he continued working as an audition producer for “The Voice.”

His most financially successful album to date is Real Life/Real Worship, his sixth actual studio album, which was released in April of 2014. Though the album had a wide variety of musical styles and was entirely produced by Max Stark, the album’s lyrics were consistent with those of Evans’ past works. Plain old rock and dance-pop laced with electronic dance music were mixed in with aspects of modern Christian music and contemporary gospel. When it was first released, it peaked at number 60 on the Billboard 200.

Evans’ highly-anticipated seventh studio album, Back to Life, was released that year. The album’s ten tracks featured Max Stark’s co-production of several chart-topping singles, including “Believe,” “See You Again,” “Ever Be,” and the album’s upbeat title tune. Evans, ever prolific, returned in 2018 with Everything Else, another set created by Stark that dealt with weighty religious and existential issues from the artist’s own life. Evans published his book that year under the title Unexpected Places: Reflections on God, Faith, and Finding Your Voice. While Everything Else dealt with more serious issues, 2019’s Altered took a more optimistic tone by focusing on the joy of religion and the love of God.

Over the past 15 years, Anthony Evans has been actively involved in a wide variety of artistic fields, including recording in the studio, songwriting, leading worship, vocal arrangement, touring, acting, and, most recently, writing. He has been completely genuine in every single one of his efforts.

Evans, after much soul-searching, reached a place where he could change his outlook toward genuine inner serenity. The challenging but ultimately cathartic process of penning his much-anticipated autobiography, Unexpected Places: Reflections on God, Faith, and Finding Your Voice, was the impetus for this.

You can buy the book now. This is reflected in his 2019 album, also named Altered, which features similar themes (releasing May 17 on Sherman James Productions). The album’s title also alludes to the fact that some of the tracks are actually altered versions of cover songs, consistent with his habit of putting a clever twist on things. These, along with a handful of other emotionally intense originals, are crucial in shaping what will undoubtedly become a landmark.

To quote Evans: “Altered is me being loyal to my new vision, which is pursuing serenity as a human.” That’s what I mean by “altered” now that I have a different perspective. ” Rather of focusing on ticking off specific ‘projects,’ I measure my success by how little friction there is in my life. This project’s production brought me peace of mind. It also entails boldly pursuing the specific mission God has for my life with the assurance that I am heading in the right way.

This confidence led to his creative reworking of several contemporary church standards in a way that may appeal to fellow Christians as well as tap into the spiritual yearnings of absolutely anyone who comes into contact with his amazing and undeniable abilities. Aside from ministering to other Christians, his unique and undeniable powers allowed him to speak to the spiritual needs of anybody who came into contact with him. He is not just a talented singer, but has also been instrumental in assembling a stellar team of musicians and producers, led by the seasoned Max Stark. Evans was in his early twenties when he met and began working with Max Stark.

To put it simply, he was a regular student. Stark, who has now won a Grammy, makes a conscious decision to exclude Christian music from his playlists. This is why his contributions to classic songs like “So Will I” and “Do It Again” have such a fresh, original vibe. In the case of “What a Beautiful Name” and “King of My Heart,” the backing singers include not only some of the best session singers in Los Angeles (who also happened to be church kids who never forgot their roots) but also singers who have toured the world with the likes of Barbra Streisand, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Patti LaBelle, Justin Bieber, John Mayer, and others.

Tyler Perry has been added to the ever-growing list of infamous people mentioned here. When Evans’s cousin passed very suddenly at the age of 38, he composed a unique blend of “Great Are You Lord” and “Who You Say I Am.” This song has special meaning to me because I’m singing it during a time when my family is experiencing a great deal of grief and loss. My cousin’s legacy, however, is helping to remind me that God is wonderful in spite of everything that has happened. Then there is the album’s lead single, “Fighting For Us,” which was co-written by frequent collaborators Krissy Tordoff (Your Great Name) and Michael Faron (Let It Rain).

I have to be continuously reminded that Jesus is not standing at the end of the race waving a stopwatch and shouting, “hurry up and get here.” Evans took the first step down the road that would ultimately take him to this realization as he was making the anthem selection. A series of sessions focused on his spirituality allowed him to “reorder the mental image of God I have in my brain,” which he says “helped a lot” in his recovery. He elaborated, “Since my dad was a clergyman, I was brought up to believe that I needed to get my act together.” In full, I’m known as Tony Evans, Jr.

Being put under such stress caused me to reevaluate my beliefs about God. The thought in my thoughts was, “If you do a good job, I’ll love you.” My view of God changed because I went to therapy and allowed myself to start over with a fresh understanding of who he is. Instead of planning out a specific strategy to bring all of the aforementioned products and services to market, Evans opted to take a behind-the-scenes approach to the creation of Altered.

This was done so that feedback and suggestions from the public may be incorporated into the final product. Most of these songs are covers, and when I do sing the originals, I do so backwards. Before I record them, I perform for them live. Once I know what people like, I make a recording of it so I can use it again later. Most of the time, we make music recordings and then try to convince people that they’re enjoyable. However, I can see people in the room right now, and I shall make the record with their names and information included.

The final step of his current calling is for him to take his ministry on the road with the help of his sister, the bestselling author and actress Priscilla Shirer. Anthony’s book Altered and Priscilla’s upcoming film Overcomer will serve as the inspiration for the kids’ upcoming trip, which has been called “Fervent 2.0.” There is a special chemistry between brothers that can’t be manufactured and is evident during these journeys. While we’re on the topic of uncreateables, Evans is still willing to consider “absolutely whatsoever” God has planned for him in terms of putting his skills to use.
