Carole Raphaelle Davis had a French mother and an American father in London, England, on February 17, 1958. She is a trilingual and a U.S. and European Union citizen. She grew up and moved to New York City as a teenager in England, Scotland, Hawaii, France, Italy and Thailand. Carole attended New York City University and studied Chinese Studies and Politology. After university she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute for two years. From 1996 to 1997 and in 2005, Davis taught at the Jewish University of St. Petersburg and the State University of St. Petersburg. In 2008, she was a poet-in-residence at Michigan’s Olivet College.
