Jack Black was born to Judith Cohen and Thomas William Black in Santa Monica, California, USA on August 28, 1969. His mother is a Jew, whereas his dad’s background is Scottish-Irish and German.

He was traditionally educated and went to Hebrew school. Young Jack relocated to Culver City when his parents divorced, where he remained with his father, but saw his mother often.
