Jason Manford is a writer, comedian, actor, and television presenter from the United Kingdom. He was born on May 26, 1981, in Salford, Greater Manchester, and started his career in 1999. When a comedian didn’t show up for their evening gig, Manford was working at a comedy club and was responsible for collecting the glasses. It was at this period that Manford, who was just 17 years old at the time, stepped in to fill the gap, an incident that would later mark the beginning of his career in comedy. After performing at six different engagements, the judges awarded him the title of City Life North West Comedian of the Year.
Up to the 15th of May in 2008, he was the presenter of a morning programme on Xfm Manchester. In June of 2007, he succeeded Dave Spikey as the team captain on 8 out of 10 Cats, succeeding him in that role. During the month of August, he was also the host of his own programme, which went by the name “Tonightly” and was broadcast from Monday to Friday. It is believed that he would return to the show at the beginning of 2009. Peter Kay is considered by Jason to be his comedic idol, and performers like as Tommy Cooper and Les Dawson have had a significant impact on his comedic approach. He is now on his first tour in the United Kingdom.
Jason Manford was born in Salford, which is located in Lancashire. He does stand-up comedy, is also an actor and writer, and hosts radio and television shows. In 1999, he started his career off by working at the Buzz Comedy Club in Chorlton, which is located in Manchester. When a performer for the evening performance didn’t show up, Jason was in charge of collecting the glasses. When Jason, then just 17 years old, volunteered to stand in for someone else, this became the turning point in his journey toward becoming a successful comedian. After performing at six different engagements, the judges awarded him the title of City Life North West Comedian of the Year.
Following his success in a number of other competitions, Jason’s performance of “Urban Legends” earned him a nomination for the Perrier Award at Edinburgh in 2005. In 2007, he became a household name after appearing on Channel 4’s “8 out of 10 Cats” as the team captain. After performing stand-up comedy on ‘Live at the Apollo’ (BBC One), ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’ (BBC One), and ‘The Royal Variety Performance’ (ITV1, 2009), all of which helped establish Jason as a nationally known comic, he was the ideal choice to host ‘Show Me The Funny,’ which is ITV’s reality comedy competition. His UK tours in 2008 and 2009 helped establish Jason as a nationally known comic.
In 2010, the second season of his hilarious invention, “Walk on the Wild Side,” which airs on BBC One, was shown. After that, in 2011, he resumed his touring with the show titled ‘Off On Tour We Go: Jason Manford Live.’
Jason immediately put his newly discovered skill to use by joining Alfie Boe on tour after his opera singing performance on Born to Shine (ITV1) led to his being crowned the competition’s champion. This was then followed by a run in the highly acclaimed smash West End musical Sweeney Todd, starring Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton. The run was very well received by the audience. On New Year’s Eve in 2013, he served as the presenter of ITV’s “Funny Old Year,” during which he shared his one-of-a-kind and highly personal perspective on everything from television to sport, from the gaffes to the feuds, and from the trends of the year.
Beginning in May 2013, Jason took his performance “First World Problems” on the road around the United Kingdom. In the movie “The Producers,” Jason played the role of Leo Bloom, a shy accountant. The cherished film that won Mel Brooks an Academy Award serves as the inspiration for the programme. March of 2015 saw the debut of the funny musical comedy that has since caused a commotion on Broadway and in the West End.
During the months of March and April in 2015, Jason featured with Max Beesley, Michelle Keegan, and Mackenzie Crook in the BBC One drama series “Ordinary Lies.” The series consisted of six episodes. After three very successful end-of-the-year episodes of “Funny Old Year,” Jason went on to present “Funny Old Week” for ITV all during the month of July in 2015.
After then, Jason became the presenter of the show ‘The Money Pit’ on Dave (UKTV), which is a programme in which regular people decide whether or not to spend their own money on a range of projects on the show in exchange for a part in the firm or a unique prize. His “Best Of” live concert toured the UK from July 2015 to November of that same year. This last year was nonstop action for Jason. After concluding Chitty in February, he immediately began hosting Bigheads, a fresh new game show that airs throughout the prime time slot on Sunday nights on television. The first episode of the series aired in April 2017 on ITV1 and lasted for a total of six weeks.

Both awards are presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
In October of 2017, Jason published his first album, titled “A Different Stage,” on Decca Records. The album included musical favourites. The songs on the album span from show tunes that he has performed in the past to songs that are near and dear to his heart as well as some of his all-time favourite songs from his youth. In the United Kingdom, the album debuted in the top ten. In January 2018, Jason embarked on his mammoth year-and-a-half long ‘Muddle Class’ UK tour. This tour addressed Jason’s childhood growing up in the ‘working class,’ and how, as he’s gotten older, he’s discovered that a part of him has become’middle class,’ which has caused him much confusion!
Once again taking to the stage in October 2018, Jason appeared in Guys and Dolls at the Royal Albert Hall in London. This time, he played the role of Nathan Detroit. In the latter part of the year 2018, Jason shot both the Christmas episode of his prime time programme on ITV1 called “What Would Your Kid Do?” as well as a second series, which debuted in March of the following year. As child development psychology and an engaging game show are combined in this series, parents are presented with the task of attempting to predict how their children will respond when placed in a number of different scenarios.
The month of December saw the release of a special Christmas episode of Jason’s Cartoonito children’s programme “Daisy & Ollie,” which included a special guest appearance from Gary Barlow of Take That singing a song.
