Jensen Ross Ackles, an actor, musician, producer, and director from the United States, was born on March 1, 1978. He is most known for his role as Dean Winchester on The CW’s horror fantasy series Supernatural, but he has also been in shows like Days of Our Lives as Eric Brady (for which he received numerous Daytime Emmy Award nominations), Dark Angel as Alec/X5-494, and Smallville as Jason Teague. He also voiced Jason Todd in the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood and Batman in the animated adaption of Batman: The Long Halloween. Ackles is the son of actor Alan Roger Ackles and Donna Joan (née Shaffer) from Dallas. Josh is his younger brother, while Mackenzie is his sister. With his wife and in-laws, Ackles is a co-owner of Family Business Beer Company, a brewery in Dripping Springs, Texas. The name of the brewery is a play on Supernatural (“family business” being a tagline for the series).
