Joe Jenkins

On April 4, 2001, Joe Jenkins was born in the United Kingdom. An English YouTube sensation best known for his music videos on his own channel of the same name. Joe Jenkins, according to horoscopes, is an Aries.

All-Star” memes and covers of the Smash Mouth song “All-Star” have made him famous. Toto’s “Africa” is another song he has covered numerous times on his YouTube channel.

At a protest outside a US Air Force base in Gloucestershire in March 2003, Joe’s filmmaking career began. Joe documented the protests with a Hi8 camera and then turned the footage into a documentary on the taxpayers who refused to contribute to the war’s costs. It had its UK premiere at the Notting Hill Film Festival in 2004, and it earned first place at Strasbourg Film Festival in 2005. During the Milano Film Festival in 2008, a feature-length version was screened.

A philosophy and ethics textbook author, Joe began filming short cutting-edge movies for schools and youth workers on a variety of modern ethical topics, including the environment, sexual ethics, abortion, and war & peace alongside a fellow Herefordshire-based filmmaker, Nick Thomson. As of this writing, Joe’s videos have been exhibited at schools and colleges throughout the United Kingdom as well as in Australia, the United States, and Hong Kong, confirming the project’s success in engaging students and fostering healthy discourse both within and outside of the classroom.

He is an English YouTube star known for posting music-related videos on his own channel. His YouTube channel currently has over 3.8 million subscribers. His joejenkins Instagram account has more than 60,000 followers, and he publishes videos of himself playing the piano to the account frequently.

The Smash Mouth song “All-Star,” which he covered, made him famous for his many memes. On his YouTube page, he has also covered Toto’s “Africa.” Over 30 million people have seen one of his most popular uploads.

Since he established his YouTube channel, Joe Jenkins Music, while still in high school, Joe Jenkins’ videos have been viewed more than a quarter of a billion times.

For the first time in his life, Joe, 19, is performing in public places like Millennium Square and Temple Meads as a result of footage recorded from above of his hands playing the piano.

Joe, a gifted pianist who grew up just a few blocks from Gloucester Road, has been playing since the age of six, according to his parents. What makes his videos stand out is the reaction of passersby to what he is playing. Giorno’s theme, Dance Monkey, and songs made famous on TikTok—a social media platform on which he has almost half a million followers—are just some of the videos that have garnered him 32 million views and counting.

In his most recent video, he performed Queen songs outside Buckingham Palace in London before the recent tier four limitations. In just seven days, it’s racked up over 2.5 million views. When Joe originally started making YouTube channels, they were all about him playing Minecraft; his current channel is all about him playing piano covers.

This was my first impulse: why not upload them on YouTube so that others may see them as well? So I did. Instead of being a serious channel it transformed into “a meme channel,” which is what it was originally intended to be.

Joe claims that the popularity of his channel has just recently grown when he began performing on his own piano at Broadmead as part of Luke Jerram’s public art installation Play Me, I’m Yours.

Joe’s debut video playing TikTok tunes barely garnered one million views in four hours. If you’ve ever wondered why he continues to perform in public despite the fact that he acknowledges that “perform[ing] makes me uneasy,” you’re not alone.

To witness how others react to their activities, I believe, is what draws people in. There was definitely room for more there, as I could see. So, despite the fact that I didn’t want to, I forced myself to perform more busking. Joe’s videos are now sponsored and he makes money from the advertisements that appear on them. Even though he still lives with his parents, the YouTuber defines his financial situation as “comfortable”.

After moving out of the family home, he plans to stay in Bristol so he can be close to individuals who support him with his movies and his usual videographer, Adrian, who he has worked with for years.

In the Society Cafe, Joe is sipping a cup of hot chocolate while discussing the absurdity of starting a YouTube channel in the belief that it will succeed since it is so rare.

In other words, I was just going along with it because I was having a good time. However, a nagging question lingered in the back of my mind: ‘What if?’ Is this something that could get out of hand?

What is Joe’s favorite part about being a YouTube star? Coming up with odd ideas is the most challenging part of my job,” I tell you. The out of the ordinary. “It’s not just the Broadmead thing.”

Playing River Flows in You in a river and Minecraft music in a real-life Minecraft universe are just a couple of examples (that looks suspiciously like Castle Park).

The epidemic has delayed Joe’s plans to perform I Believe I Can Fly by R Kelly while skydiving, which he had vowed to do when he reached one million YouTube followers. Joe has yet to perform the song as a result of the pandemic.

“I’ve got a couple of ideas that I know will be tremendous bangers,” Joe says without disclosing any further information. Until the coronavirus pandemic is gone, I will not be able to perform these tasks.”

The most time-consuming part of filming the video will be for him to master the song once he has a concept. Then he’ll be able to film and edit the video in less than a week.

Instead of enrolling in Nottingham Trent University’s design program, Joe, who confesses he spends most of his free time watching YouTube videos, turned down the opportunity.

Instead, he’s still trying to figure out how to deal with his growing celebrity. His recent videos reveal how frequently he is recognized by individuals who have watched him on YouTube or TikTok.

The solution to that problem took a long time for me to discover. When it comes to video production, I’m always the odd man out. It’s only natural that people will start coming out now. However, I still find it strange when someone tells me that they’ve seen me on YouTube while I’m out and about. The weirdness of that will never go away for me.” Joe, a native Bristolian, learned to play the piano at an independent music store in Stokes Croft called Mickleburgh Musical Instruments. When asked about his favorite memories from his time at the conservatory, he referred to his time there as “a great inspiration” and said he would play “every single piano there” after his lessons. As the shop’s website describes it, it must have taken him a while to figure out the 10,000 square foot maze.

Luke Jerram’s Play Me I’m Yours 2017 art project was the inspiration for Joe’s public piano videos. For Joe’s movie of him playing the tune from Thomas the Tank Engine in a train station filmed at Bristol’s Temple Meads station, the installation served as an artful collection of street pianos for the public to play and enjoy.

Many of Bristol’s residents, according to Joe, are talented enough to outshine him on occasion. Despite the fact that he has millions of subscribers, he remains modest, calling himself “just mediocre” and his piano abilities “smoke screens.” He is humble. As one flute player put it, seeing his lighthearted approach to classical music helped her see that she didn’t have to play serious music in order to find joy in her instrument. It’s not uncommon for Joe to acknowledge that he’s still apprehensive when playing in public, but he simply pretends that he is. When he took his piano to Buckingham Palace, he said, “I knew I was going to get stopped by police,” and that’s exactly what happened. The pianist declared that “nothing is off limits” when asked if there is any place he is afraid to take his piano. He made light of the fact that he wanted to play his piano in all of the elements, saying, “I’ve done the air, water… next one – fire!”. We can only hope that Joe’s next piano misadventure does not end badly for him.
