Kunal Nayyar is an Indian-British actor for film, TV and theatre. He is best known for his role in the successful CBS situation comedy series ‘The Big Bang Theory’ as ‘Rajesh Koothrappali.’ When he attended college, he started to study acting and played plays at school. Together with Helberg, Nayyar hosted the Tribute to the Nerds’ show at the “Just for Laughs” comedy festival in 2011. In 2012, he spoke “Gupta” in “Ice Age: Continental Drift” by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier, his first animated project. In Nickelodeon’s ‘Sanjay and Craig,’ he voiced ‘Vijay’ between 2013 and 2016.
In 2014, he made two movies: the suspense thriller ‘The Scribbler’ and the romantic comedy ‘Dr. Cabbie.’ From 5 May to 29 June 2015, in the off-broadway production of Jesse Eisenberg, Nayyar portrayed ‘Kalyan,’ a Nepalese student and a roommate protagonist.
