He started off writing children’s books, and ever since then, this prolific author has written several works that have received positive reviews from both readers and reviewers. He knew the famed poet Ted Hughes, and with Hughes’ help, he sought a career as a writer. The concept of the “Children’s Laureate” was created by these two authors, Hughes and Morpurgo.
