On July 2, 1993, saweetie was born. Her parents are a Filipina-Chinese mother and an African-American father, Johnny Harper. She attended San Diego State University after high school, where she majored in communications and business before moving to the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in communications.
