New England Patriots Phone number

The New England Patriots are an American football team headquartered in Foxborough, Massachusetts. They compete in the National Football League (NFL). Six Super Bowl championships (2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017, and 2019) and 11 American Football Conference (AFC) crowns have been won by the Patriots.

The Boston Patriots joined the American Football League (AFL) in 1960 Boston Patriots and immediately developed into a competitive club led by quarterback Vito (“Babe”) Parilli, linebacker Nick Buoniconti, and wide receiver Gino Cappelletti. In their second season, the Patriots won a game and advanced to the AFL championship game in their fourth. However, following a second-place result in the division in 1966, the squad lost seven consecutive seasons.

The Patriots also struggled to secure a stable home stadium, playing at four different locales in the Boston area over a ten-year period. In 1971, the team relocated to Foxborough and was renamed the New England Patriots after joining the NFL following the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.

The Patriots enjoyed infrequent success in the 1970s and 1980s, led by John Hannah, considered one of the finest offensive linemen in NFL history, future Hall of Fame cornerback Mike Haynes, and quarterback Steve Grogan. They reached their first Super Bowl in 1986 but were defeated 46–10 by a dominating Chicago Bears club.

Eleven years would pass before the Patriots would return to the Super Bowl, this time led by quarterback Drew Bledsoe and coached by Bill Parcells. New England lost Super Bowl XXXI to the Green Bay Packers, but their postseason appearance began a streak of three consecutive years in the playoffs for the team, a franchise record at the time.

When the Patriots hired Bill Belichick as head coach in 2000, it was one of the most momentous moves in franchise history. Belichick, who spent the majority of his career as a defensive assistant coach (he also served as head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 1991–95), rapidly created a strong team around underrated experienced free agents (such as linebacker Mike Vrabel and running back Corey Dillon) and astute draught picks (including linebacker Tedy Bruschi and cornerback Ty Law).

In 2001, a major injury to Bledsoe allowed Tom Brady, a virtually unknown sixth-round draught pick, to take over the Patriots’ offense and lead the team to an unexpected Super Bowl victory the following February. Brady developed into an excellent passer and led the Patriots to four additional Super Bowl titles in 2004 and 2005, as well as in 2015 and 2017.

New England Patriots Biography/Wiki

Before the 2007 season, New England acquired All-Pro wide receiver Randy Moss and went on to smash multiple offensive records and establish the NFL’s only 16–0 regular-season record, only to lose in Super Bowl XLII to the underdog New York Giants. Although Moss was traded during the 2010 season, the Patriots remained one of the league’s highest-scoring teams behind an efficient passing offense spearheaded by Brady, wide receiver Wes Welker, and dynamic tight end Rob Gronkowski.

In 2014, the Patriots won 12 games and finished first in the AFC, en route to capturing the conference championship and qualifying for the franchise’s sixth Super Bowl. The Patriots went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl. The Patriots earned their 12th division championship in 13 years in 2015 and advanced to the AFC championship game, where they were defeated by the Denver Broncos.

The following season, New England went a league-best 14–2 and cruised through the playoffs en way to another AFC title. In the Super Bowl, the Patriots overcame a 25-point third-quarter deficit to the Atlanta Falcons in overtime to capture their fifth championship – the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history.

In 2017, the Patriots went 13–3 en route to a franchise-record tenth Super Bowl berth. There, the club fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in a close game, handing New England their fifth Super Bowl defeat, the most in league history. In 2018, the Patriots juggernaut maintained its dominance, comfortably capturing another division title and earning the AFC playoffs’ second seed. Following a decisive victory in the divisional round, the Patriots defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in a wild AFC championship game to qualify for their third consecutive Super Bowl. New England trounced the Los Angeles Rams 13–3 in that game, tying the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most Super Bowl victories. The Patriots extended their NFL-record string of consecutive division titles to 11 in 2019, but the team failed to secure a first-round bye for the first time in ten years, and New England lost its opening playoff game.
